Who I am....
Hello - I am Jeanette Perry, Business Owner, Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Rock Steady Coach, and Health and Wellness Coach. I am also a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a person....
Fitness is not just a career choice for me but a way of life. Teaching an array of fitness classes such as kickboxing, strength training, HIIT and spin to name a few has been an amazing experience I have enjoyed continuously growing within.
In the last couple of years I have added Rock Steady and Health and Wellness Coach to my credentials. After participating in a Rock Steady class as a corner person two years ago for my uncle who has Parkinson's I decided I wanted to become a certified Rock Steady Coach. It was such an inspiring experience both as a family member and individual working in the fitness industry - I knew I had to be a part of it! Having a strong background teaching kickboxing classes for years and a passion for helping others made it a perfect fit for me. I am proud to be a part of something that makes such a huge impact providing health and happiness to people fighting a life altering disease.
More recently I have added Health and Wellness Coaching to my portfolio which allows me to guide people not only by designing and pushing them through workouts but by being a counselor and holding people accountable for establishing healthier habits to live a better life.
Throughout the years physical fitness and nutrition have always been an important aspect I managed to incorporate into my lifestyle. Being a personal trainer, certified through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) allows me to reach out and assist others in creating and leading healthy lifestyles.
Why me...
Lead by Example.... I lead by example and truly am able to relate to my clients. Maintaining a healthy life style has always been something I have had to put thought and effort into. By age twelve it was clear to me I was not blessed with the same metabolic makeup my sister and brother inherited. My parents sat me down and explained I might want to start thinking about my food choices especially since my grandma had struggled with her weight for years before passing away due to illnesses that could have been prevented through appropriate nutritional intake and a regular fitness plan. It was soon after I started paying attention and learning how food plays such an important role in ones health.
Next came exercise! Which I now am so grateful to call my religion! It centers me, balances my life, keeps me productive, upbeat, happy and healthy! My wish and goal for every person who brings me into their health and fitness journey is to be able to have them reach that "special" place where they achieve and experience how honestly magnificent it feels to be fit and reap the benefits which accompany a healthy lifestyle.
How it Happens...
Now what does it mean to be fit? FIT is a broad term holding specific definition and beliefs per individual. I ask my clients to define what the word entails to them and what holds them back from achieving a standard of fitness in their life. That's where we start...that is where EVERYONE I work with starts. Each adjustment we make into their routine, schedule and lifestyle gets them one step closer to their goal and me one step closer to assisting yet another person in obtaining a healthier happier life. I couldn't ask for a better more rewarding job! Some days are harder then others. Some weeks are longer then others. A FIT lifestyle doesn't happen overnight but through many moons!
